Scrucchijata is the symbolic product of the Abruzzo tradition: it is a jam produced from Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes which takes its name from the gesture of "crunching" the grapes which, as soon as they were removed from the stems, had to be crushed between two fingers and then transformed into jam.
Use the scrucchijata to fill fragrant pastries or for breakfast on toasted bread.
