Le 5 cose da fare in Abruzzo in Inverno

Ahh l'inverno, il freddo, la neve e il gelo sono tutte cose che alla maggior parte di noi ci farebbero pensare di rimanere a casa al caldo magari davanti un camino a rilassarsi, ma per chi ama l'avventura e ama esplorare posti non riuscirebbe a stare fermo per più di un giorno così.

Perciò oggi voglio consigliarvi le migliori 5 esperienze da fare in Abruzzo durante questa stagione fredda.

1- Motoslitta: Una delle esperienze più belle da fare è sicuramente un giro in motoslitta. Quella che vi propongo io avviene in una una delle località più famose per i suoi impianti sciistici e vacanze invernali, Roccaraso. Il giro dura un'ora e mezza dove potrete ammirare, in questo caso nella località Aremogna, la stupenda Valle Fredda, chiamata così perchè è una delle stazioni più fredde di tutto l'Appennino, quindi se dovreste decidere di fare questa esperienza copritevi per bene e andate ben equipaggiati. Vi consiglio di farla con Abruzzo Adventures che oltre a farvi guidare la motoslitta, vi offrirà anche un piccolo aperitivo nel bosco con vin brulè e thè caldo per riscaldarvi dal gelo.

2. Ciaspolata: una delle cose che amo di più fare durante l'inverno sono le ciaspolate sulla neve. Si tratta di una camminata con ai piedi delle cosiddette "racchette" che permettono di spostarsi agevolmente sulla neve fresca. Un percorso che adoro fare è quello che parte dall'hotel Mamma Rosa in località, Passolanciano, fino ad arrivare al Rifugio Pomilio e da qui continuare per altri 3km fino alla Madonna delle Nevi. Avrete una vista spettacolare sulla Maiella e sulle montagne circostanti. Attenzione però, questo percorso è abbastanza faticoso, quindi se è la prima volta che usate le ciaspole vi consiglio di iniziare da un percorso meno impegnativo. L'equipaggiamento che vi servirà saranno scarpe da trekking o da neve, giacca a vento, cappello ed occhiali da sole. Mi raccomando fate attenzione sempre alle previsioni meteo e al bollettino valanghe.

3. Transiberiana D'Italia: Una delle esperienze più belle da fare in inverno è prendere la Transiberiana D'Italia, un treno storico con carrozze e terrazzini realizzati tra il 1920 e 1930. Vi porterà in un viaggio attraverso l'entroterra Abruzzese fino ad arrivare in Molise. Si parte dalla stazione di Sulmona e farete tappa nei borghi e posti più autentici d'Abruzzo e Molise tra cui Pettorano sul Gizio, Campo di Giove, Palena, Roccaraso, Capracotta, Carpinone ed Isernia e molti altri. Un viaggio nel tempo e nei luoghi incontaminati dei Parchi Nazionali di queste due regioni tutte da scoprire. Durante il mese di Dicembre potreste fare anche il tour dei vari mercatini di Natale allestiti in ogni borgo. Vi divertirete voi e i vostri bambini.

4- Escursione a cavallo: Sicuramente la maggior parte di voi avrà provato almeno una volta ad andare a cavallo, un'esperienza bellissima soprattutto se il panorama intorno a voi è innevato. Per questo vi consiglio di andare dal Maneggio "Il Castelluccio" a Raiano, vicino Sulmona, perchè non solo potete fare una bella cavalcata nella neve ma il percorso avverrà attraverso la riserva naturale delle gole di San Venanzio, luogo incontaminato ricco di biodiversità.

5. Civitella Alfedena: un luogo magico ed incantato da visitare con la neve è Civitella Alfedena, un borgo in provincia dell'Aquila, che si affaccia sul lago di Barrea. Vi assicuro che sarà uno spettacolo unico ed una delle cose più interessanti da vedere qui è l'area faunistica e museo del lupo appenninico, dove troverete interessanti spunti per conoscere questo animale cosi misterioso e d'immensa bellezza. Oltretutto potreste anche avvistarne qualcuno nei 4 ettari di area allestiti esattamente per loro vicino al museo.

Sono tante le esperienze che potreste vivere nella neve qui in Abruzzo, come ad esempio sciare, snowboard, e-bike e arrampicata sul ghiaccio (per i più esperti), ma in qualunque caso non sottovalutate mai la montagna e andate sempre con una guida e muniti del giusto equipaggiamento.

1- Snowmobile: One of the best experiences to do is definitely a snowmobile ride. What I propose is in one of the most famous resorts for its ski and winter holidays, Roccaraso. A path that I love to do is the one that starts from the hotel Mamma Rosa up to the Pomilio Refuge and from here continue for other 3km up to the Madonna delle Nevi. You will have spectacular views of the Maiella and the surrounding mountains. But be careful, this route is quite tiring, so if it is the first time you use snowshoes I suggest you start from a less challenging path. The equipment you will need will be hiking shoes, windbreaker, hat and sunglasses. I recommend you always pay attention to the weather forecast and avalanche report.

3. Transiberiana D'Italia: One of the best experiences to do in winter is to take the Transiberiana D'Italia, a historic train with carriages and terraces built between 1920 and 1930. It will take you on a journey through the Abruzzese hinterland until you arrive in Molise. It starts from the station of Sulmona and you will stop in the villages and the most authentic places of Abruzzo and Molise including Pettorano sul Gizio, Campo di Giove, Palena, Roccaraso, Capracotta, Carpinone and Isernia and many others. A journey through time and the unspoilt places of the National Parks of these two regions to discover. 4- Horse riding: Surely most of you will have tried at least once to go horseback riding, a beautiful experience especially if the panorama around you is snowy. For this reason I recommend you to go to the Riding School "Il Castelluccio" in Raiano, near Sulmona, because not only you can have a nice ride in the snow but the route will take you through the natural reserve of the San Venanzio gorges, an uncontaminated place rich in biodiversity.

5. Civitella Alfedena: a magical and enchanted place to visit with snow is Civitella Alfedena, a village in the province of L'Aquila, overlooking Lake Barrea. I assure you that it will be a unique show and one of the most interesting things to see here is the wildlife area and museum of the Apennine wolf, where you will find interesting ideas to get to know this mysterious animal of immense beauty. In addition, you could also spot some of them in the 4 hectares of area set up exactly for them near the museum.

There are many experiences that you could live in the snow here in Abruzzo, such as skiing, snowboarding, e-bike and ice climbing (for the more experienced), but in any case never underestimate the mountain and always go with a guide and equipped with the right equipment.
